Hoyt's will never make such deliveries without informing the customer beforehand that a fee will apply.

Delivery Requirements
Our minimum delivery is 150 gallons. If you order 150 gallons and 150 gallons doesn't fit you will be charged the extra 10 cents per gallon and there will be a $50 minimum not met charge.
Watch Your Fuel Oil Supplies!
You use much more heating oil with cold temperatures so never let your tank go below 1/4 tank before you place your next heating oil order. You should order early to avoid run outs, especially during cold temperatures. Remember that all our drivers become extremely busy when we have extended sub-freezing temperatures, so delivery times are likely to take longer.
If you are a will call and let yourself run out of oil, your delivery driver can restart your furnace for an additional charge of $25.00. However, allowing your furnace to run dry can cause problems such as clogged nozzles and filters, and, unless your system is self-bleeding (most aren't), will often cause your fuel lines to fill with air, rendering your furnace inoperable. If air gets into your fuel lines during a run-out, and you do not have a self-bleeding system, your furnace will not start again until the fuel lines have been manually bled, even after fuel has been put into the tank.
DELIVERY OPTIONS
AUTOMATIC DELIVERY
Hoyt's offers automatic delivery to those who qualify. If you are approved for a credit or budget account, you can set up automatic delivery of fuel at your address. Most of our residential customers receive their fuel supply through an automatic delivery system. These deliveries are scheduled through computer technology, based upon each customer’s historical consumption patterns and prevailing weather conditions. You never need to worry about ordering fuel or running out of oil with automatic delivery!
NOTE: In order to qualify for automatic delivery, all fuel at the delivery address must be purchased from Hoyt's. We will otherwise be unable to accurately calculate when deliveries are needed. You must also maintain a zero balance.
Automatic delivery is a value-added, guaranteed service that provides protection from emergency delivery fees in the event of a run-out. These guarantees are only valid if Hoyt's is able to accurately calculate a usage rate, which requires data that can only be obtained by supplying all the fuel to the covered property. In the event that supplemental heating sources are used (space heaters, pellet stoves, etc), Hoyt's will make a determination on a case-by-case basis whether or not the predictable usage rates necessary to Automatic Delivery can be established.
If an automatic customer calls and wants a delivery and they are NOT due for one and they don't take 150 gallons they will be charged 10 cents per gallon more and there will be a $50.00 charge.
WILL CALL DELIVERY
A will call, this is for customers who wish to choose their own delivery times and amounts. The customer is responsible for ordering their fuel, and for monitoring their fuel levels. Hoyt's is NOT responsible in the event that a Will-Call customer runs out of oil, and will charge a fee if an after-hours, same-day, or weekend delivery is needed. Should an emergency delivery fee be assessed, however, we will NOT charge the customer an additional fee to re-start the furnace at the time of delivery if needed.
NOTE: For will call deliveries, our minimum delivery is 150 gallons. If you order 150 gallons and 150 gallons doesn't fit you will be charged the extra 10 cents per gallon and there will be a $50 minimum not met charge.

MOST IMPORTANT
Watch Your Gauge
Watch your fuel oil supplies! You use much more heating oil with cold temperatures so never let your tank go below 1/4 tank before you place your next heating oil order. You should order early to avoid run outs, especially during cold temperatures. Remember that all our drivers become extremely busy when we have extended sub-freezing temperatures, so delivery times are likely to take longer.
Snowstorms
Stay ahead of predicted snowstorms so your heating oil delivery arrives before the snow. Snow and ice slows down deliveries so planning ahead can avoid the anxiety of running low on oil.
Shovel Out Your Fill
When snow is on the ground, be sure you shovel a path to your oil fill pipe and if needed, mark the location of your oil fill so your oil driver is able to make your heating oil delivery. Do not forget that with the short days of winter our drivers may be delivering in the dark. If you have an in-ground tank, your driver needs to be able to find your fill, so please make it easy for him.
Driveways
Make sure your driveway is clear of snow and ice. Safety always comes first and our drivers may not be able to make your delivery if your driveway is ice or snow covered. Plan ahead to avoid delivery delays and re-delivery fees.
We do not make fuel deliveries to customers without a delivery account. To open a delivery account with Hoyt's, please call (570) 256-3407 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Common Carrier Service
If you need a reliable carrier to transport your petroleum products and propane, Hoyt's Fuel Service and H&K Propane can deliver! With a fleet of modern and well maintain trucks. We can deliver from 150 gallons to 8,000 gallons. Our fuel tankers have multiple compartments and can carry more than one petroleum product. We have the capability to either pump off or drain off the products at your facility.
